Bow Brawl
About Bow Brawl
Bow Brawl is a turn-based duel where two fighters stand on rocks across a valley and take turns to shoot. You are the hooded archer: touch anywhere, pull back like a slingshot and let go: the direction of your pull sets the angle and its length sets the power, and a dotted line shows how the arrow leaves the bow. Arrows fly in a real arc, so judge the distance and the height of the other rock. A hit on the body hurts, a hit on the head does double damage and flashes HEADSHOT, and every arrow that lands stays stuck where it hit. Then it is the other fighter's turn. Twelve opponents wait in the duel ladder, each with their own weapon and style: Farmer Joe and the Bandit throw knives, the Viking, the Lumberjack and the Berserker hurl spinning axes, the Hunter and the Ranger shoot arrows back, the Spartan, the Gladiator and finally The King throw spears, and the Ninja and the Shadow are quick with blades. They miss at first and get better with every throw, so do not waste time. Win a duel with more health left to earn up to three stars, or play a two-player duel on one device and take turns with a friend. Bow Brawl plays free in your browser with a mouse, a finger or the keyboard.
How to play
On your turn, press anywhere and pull back, then let go to shoot: the shot goes the opposite way to your pull, and a longer pull means more power. With a keyboard, use the left and right arrows for the angle, up and down for the power and Space to shoot. Hit the other fighter until their health bar is empty; head hits do double damage. In two-player mode, each player shoots on their own turn.
Questions
How do I get a headshot?īŧ
Aim a little higher than the chest. A hit on the head does double damage, often the difference between winning and losing.
Why do opponents get more accurate?īŧ
Like a real person, each opponent adjusts after every throw. Their first shots often miss; by the fourth or fifth they rarely do, so try to finish duels quickly.
Can I play with a friend?īŧ
Yes. Choose 2 Players and take turns on the same device. Player 2 pulls back the other way.
How many duels are there?īŧ
Twelve, from Farmer Joe to The King. Each one is tested with a computer player that aims like an average person, so every duel can be won.
