About Roof Rumble
Roof Rumble is a one-button gunfight on top of a building. Two cowboys, agents and pirates face each other on a rooftop, and each of them has exactly one button: press it to jump, press it again in the air to shoot. The catch is your gun arm: while you fly, it swings from pointing at your feet to pointing at the sky, so the second press is all about timing. Bullets do no damage here; they push. Every hit shoves the other fighter back, a head hit knocks their hat off and shoves even harder, and the first one to fall off the roof loses the round. Shooting has a kick too, so a wild shot can push you towards the edge yourself. Every round hands both fighters the same weapon: a pistol, a shotgun that is deadly up close, a sniper rifle with a huge push or a bazooka whose blast throws everyone around, including you. Climb a ladder of ten opponents across six places, from a city rooftop and a slippery ice roof to the top of a speeding night train, a narrow crane and a moon base with low gravity. If a round drags on, the roof starts to crumble from the edges. Or play two players on one device: each player gets one side of the screen or one key. Roof Rumble plays free in your browser.
How to play
Press Space, click or tap to jump, then press again while you are in the air to shoot. Your gun swings upward during the jump, so shoot when it points at the other fighter, usually a little downward. Each hit pushes them back; knock them off the roof to win the round. Win three rounds to win a ladder match, or five in two-player mode. In two-player mode, Player 1 uses W or the left half of the screen and Player 2 uses the up arrow or the right half.
Questions
Why can I only shoot once per jump?īŧ
That is the whole game! Each jump gives you one shot, so pick the moment. Land, jump again and you get another.
What does the red dotted line mean?īŧ
It shows where your gun points while you are in the air. When it crosses the other fighter, press!
Can I play with a friend?īŧ
Yes. Choose 2 Players. On a phone or tablet, Player 1 taps the left half of the screen and Player 2 the right half. On a keyboard, Player 1 presses W and Player 2 the up arrow.
Is every opponent beatable?īŧ
Yes. Every match on the ladder is tested with a computer player that times its shots like an average person, and it wins most of the time against all ten opponents.
