Maze Tanks
About Maze Tanks
Maze Tanks is a top-down tank duel in a maze, made for quick rounds and loud arguments with the person next to you. Two little tanks start at opposite ends of a fresh maze every round. Every shell bounces off the walls, so you can bank shots around corners, and every shell can hit anyone, including the tank that fired it. One hit and you are scrap; the tank still standing takes the point. Each tank can only have a few shells flying at once, so spray-and-pray runs out fast. Crates drop into the maze now and then: a triple shot that fans three shells at once, a laser that fires a bouncing beam straight through the maze, or a speed boost. Play two players on one keyboard or one tablet: Player 1 on WASD and Q, Player 2 on the arrow keys and M, or a drag-to-drive stick and a fire button for each side of the screen. First to five wins. Or fight your way up a ladder of eight computer tanks, from Rusty Rookie to General Ghost, who plans shots off three walls at once. Maze Tanks plays free in your browser.
How to play
Drive with WASD or the arrow keys and press Space to fire. Shells bounce off walls, last a few seconds and can destroy any tank, including yours. On a touch screen, drag on the screen to drive and tap FIRE. In two-player mode, Player 1 uses WASD and Q, Player 2 the arrow keys and M. Drive over a yellow crate for a triple shot, a laser or extra speed.
Questions
Why did my tank blow up?īŧ
Your own shells bounce too. Firing straight at a nearby wall is a quick way to hit yourself.
How do I play with a friend?īŧ
Choose 2 Players. On a keyboard, Player 1 uses WASD + Q and Player 2 the arrow keys + M. On a tablet, each player drags on their half of the screen and has their own FIRE button.
Is every computer tank beatable?īŧ
Yes. Our tests play a computer tank with average reactions against all eight, and it wins at least five of twelve matches against each.
