About Getaway Rush
Getaway Rush is a top-down police chase through an endless city. Your car drives itself: all you do is steer and brake, and the police do everything they can to stop you. Cop cars appear around the block, race after you and ram you; every hit dents your car, and if they box you in until you stop, you are busted. The trick is to make them crash: swing round a corner at the last moment and the car behind you smashes into a building; lead two cop cars into each other for a double wreck and a big bonus. Road works close streets without warning, parks are full of trees, plazas give you room to spin round. The longer you last, the higher your wanted level: more police, faster police, and after a while armoured SWAT vans that hit twice as hard. Grab coins along the way to buy better cars in the garage: a yellow cab, a muscle car, an armoured van that can take a beating, or a supercar that corners like it is on rails. Your score counts every second on the run, every coin and every wreck. Getaway Rush plays free in your browser with the arrow keys or by holding the sides of the screen.
How to play
Your car accelerates by itself. Steer with the left and right arrow keys (or A and D) and brake with the down arrow or Space. On a phone, hold the left or right half of the screen to steer and press BRAKE. Avoid police cars and buildings; make police crash for bonus points. Collect coins to buy new cars in the Garage.

How do I get busted?īŧ
Either your car runs out of health from crashes and rams, or the police pin you in place for a couple of seconds. Keep moving!
How do I wreck police cars?īŧ
Make them crash into buildings or into each other at speed. Sharp late turns around corners work best.
Which car is best?īŧ
The supercar corners best and is fast, the armoured van can take the most hits. Each has its own feel. Try them out in the Garage.
