About Zigzag Drift
Zigzag Drift is a one-button drifting game on an endless zigzag road that floats high in the sky. Your little car drives forward on its own; hold the screen, the mouse or the Space bar to turn right and let go to turn left. The catch is the drift: the car points into the corner before it really grips, sliding sideways with smoking tyres and black skid marks, so every turn has to start a moment early. Turn too soon and you cut the corner off the edge, turn too late and you slide straight past it: either way the car tumbles into the clouds. Every tile you pass scores a point, and the road gets faster and the corners closer together the further you go. The world changes colour every hundred points, from a bright blue sky to a sunset, a purple dusk, a starry night and a green valley. Pick up the gold coins lying on the road and spend them in the garage on seven cars, from the Red Rocket and the Blue Bolt to the City Taxi, the Ghost and the Midnight racer. A single fall ends the run, but you can continue once by watching a short ad. Zigzag Drift plays free in any browser on a phone, tablet or computer, needs only one finger, and saves your best score, coins and cars automatically.
How to play
Hold anywhere on the screen (or the mouse button, or the Space bar) to turn right, and let go to turn left. The car slides before it grips, so start each turn a little before the corner. Stay on the road as long as you can: every tile scores a point. Collect coins to unlock new cars in the garage.

Why does my car slide off at the corners?īŧ
That is the drift. The car keeps moving the old way for a moment after you change direction, so start the turn slightly before the corner. The faster you go, the earlier you need to turn.
Does the game get harder?īŧ
Yes. The car speeds up as your score grows and the straight parts of the road get shorter, so the corners come faster and faster.
What are coins for?īŧ
Coins unlock new cars in the garage. Each car looks different; they all drive the same, so the best score is about skill.
Can I play on my phone?īŧ
Yes, Zigzag Drift needs only one finger: press and hold to turn right, lift your finger to turn left.
